Sanne Magnan, who Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed as health commissioner last year, appears likely to be confirmed in the state Senate. The Senate Health, Housing and Family Security Committee has already approved Magnanâs appointment. Magnan was appointed to replace Dianne Mandernach after she resigned over criticism of her decision to delay release of information about the mesothelioma deaths of several Iron Range mine workers.
